We're excited to let you know about the Hendrick Foundation's partnership with Eco Echo for an upcoming Earth Day event!
"Right Tree, Right Location: Growing a Neighbourhood" is happening on Saturday, April 22 from 1pm to 5pm. Attendees will have the chance to learn all about how to grow healthy trees in their neighborhood from two experts in the field: Shelley Lambert, Director of Forêt Capitale Forest and Paul Hetzler, an arborist.
The first part of the event will be a presentation at La Fab (8 Mill Road, Chelsea). Those attending will have the opportunity to get some real, practical advice from these experts. This will be followed by an onsite component and tree planting in the Hendrick Foundation Garden around 2:30 pm! There will be snacks and refreshments provided by Eco Echo. This is a unique chance for attendees to have all their questions answered and get personalized guidance for their own tree-growing endeavors. Eco Echo is asking that you please register so they have a good idea of numbers.
We believe this workshop is going to be a valuable educational tool for residents and will help promote environmental awareness and sustainability. It’s also a great way to help residents become more aware of tree health, not only for their own trees, but also for the trees planted throughout the neighbourhood. This will be one of twelve workshops that Eco Echo is presenting this year, mostly in La Pêche and Chelsea. Check out their website (www.ecoecho.ca) for more details!
